Deepika Padukone: What's next?
Deepika Padukone is loving every bit in Bollywood. The Om Shanti Om actress will next be seen in Nikhil Advani's Chandni Chowk to China where the beautiful actress will be seen romancing Akshay Kumar. The film is an action-comedy and Deepika had to spruce up on not just getting her comic timing correct, but a lot of hard work to match up with her co-star Khiladi Kumar.
Deepika will don two completely different looks for her twin act for the same. The one where she plays a Chinese woman will have Deepika in a never before avatar. Bangs are in, and so is Deepika's look in sync with the times. We also hear that the girl has undergone hours of vigorous training in martial arts to get her act perfect.
And if all you fans out there are missing Deepika from the party circuits, your wait is just about to get over. Deepika has been deliberately keeping a low profile staying away from parties and events for she is just gearing up to start the film's promotional campaign in a couple of weeks.

Hrithik-Deepika romance to set the screen afire!
Spicezee Bureau
Mumbai, Oct 30: Bollywood’s sexy lady Deepika Padukone is flying high these days as she is all set to romance the hazel-eyed hunk Hrithik Roshan. Soon after bagging a role opposite the Bollywood hotties Shah Rukh, Saif and Akshay at the very start of her career, Deepika is gearing up to play the love interest of Hrithik.
According to our source, none other than director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has finalised Deepika and Hrithik for his next film, which is going to be a touching love story. Reports also reveal that the two actors haven’t signed on the dotted line yet, but they are likely to do so as soon as they meet Bhansali.
Meanwhile, Bhansali is reportedly zeroing on rest of the cast. However, film’s lead couple is mute over the project as the two are currently engrossed with their ongoing projects. Hrithik is busy with his home production ‘Kites’ and Deepika is working hard for Saif's untitled home production.
Well, romancing the biggies SRK, Akshay, Saif and Hrithik, at the start of her career, seems to be no less than a jackpot for the long-legged beauty!

Deepika graces the cover of Grazia
You have always heard them say that 'A Diamond is a girl's best friend'. But have you ever wondered that who is a guy's best friend? Well, we cannot speak for others though, but one thing's for sure that if the guy is Ranbir Kapoor, then, his best friend HAS to be Deepika Padukone, who also is the cover-girl for this issue of the fashion magazine Grazia! If looking a thousand bucks means looking beautiful, then, the snaps of Deepika in this issue simply makes her priceless! Maybe, that's why she is justified to the core when she declares that "I charge what I think I am worth and if people are willing to pay me that much, it must mean that they think that I'm worth it too. No one affords risks like investing in actors they don't really believe in." Deepika is one girl, who can glorifyingly justify the term 'Hot Property' with her elegance and persona to match!
Lastly, to add a few words of wisdom, let us also tell you that Prakash Padukone, besides being an ace badminton player and also Deepika's proud father, is also the reason as to why she is so much grounded even though at the peak of her career! In her own admission, she says "My father's always told me that fame is temporary and it's not important to dwell on it too much." With those values intact, Deepika surely will climb the ladder of success in this glam world.
Deepika wants to do a film on badminton
Mumbai (IANS): Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone says she wants to do a sports-based film, preferably on badminton, her father's sport.
"Look at what 'Chak De India' did to hockey. I would love to do a really good film on the game of badminton. In fact, efforts are on to put a project like this together."
"I would like to contribute as much as possible to sports. Yes, I'd support badminton more than any other sport. But I'd like to support Indian sports in every way possible," she said. Deepika, who played badminton with her dad Prakash Padukone, said the two were playing together after a long time and for the first time in front of media.
She said she is good at time management and that comes from being a sport person. "I started travelling at a very young age. That taught me to be punctual." Sharing her experience on the stunts and martial arts performed in "Chandni Chowk To China", Deepika said she got herself a chronically sprained ankle.
"The stunts in 'Chandni Chowk To China' were tough. Fortunately I got no broken bones. But I got a twisted ankle which will remain with me. My left ankle will remain sprained for all my life."
"I sprained it once while rehearsing and then I sprained the same ankle at exactly the same place twice again. Luckily it's not a fracture. But I can't sit cross-legged or sit on my hunches... I can't do anything that requires me to put my weight on my left leg," she said.
Being from an athletic family, Deepika always wanted to do an action film. "Yes, I always wanted to do an action character. I'm glad I got an opportunity. Akshay Kumar was a fantastic co-star. The way he comes on the sets and goes through the scenes of the day and the way he improvises, is tremendous."
Speaking on endorsements, Deepika said she has turned down the Nakshatra diamond deal after Aishwarya Rai's contract ended.
"I don't know who else they went to. But they did come to me. And things didn't work out. I'm as selective about my endorsements as I am about my movies. I'd definitely endorse brands that I believe in. I'd like to represent brands that suit my age. I'm endorsing the Signature brand for Levis, Kingfisher Airlines, Tissot."
